The name for the 11,000-acre Standing Stone State Park is derived from an ancient stone that once stood on a ledge in the area as a dividing line between two Indian nations that occupied the area. Although the stone now resides in Montgomery, visitors can enjoy the scenic area along 10 miles of hiking trails or on the 69-acre Standing Stone Lake where jon boats rented from the park can be used on the lake. Overnight campsites are open year-round, and cabins are available for rent from April through October. The park is located to the southwest of Dale Hollow Lake, 12 miles northwest of the town of Livingston.
Open year round.
Free entry. Overnight rates vary.
